About
Documentation, captured by doing.
Most documentation tools assume you'll sit down with a blank page. UtterNote assumes you'd rather narrate the work and have the doc write itself.
Why we built UtterNote
Operations teams know things their company depends on — and most of that knowledge sits in heads, not docs. When the person who knows it is out, the work slows. When they leave, it stalls. We built UtterNote so the people doing the work can capture it without becoming technical writers.
What we believe
- Subject matter experts make the best docs — when the tool gets out of their way.
- Recording is faster than writing for 90% of knowledge.
- Documentation should update when the process does, not on a quarterly review cycle.
- A great SOP is one someone follows.
Who we serve
Ops teams, People teams, customer-facing teams, franchise operators, agencies, clinics, restaurants. Anywhere a team's output depends on consistency and a few people's tacit expertise.
